Abstract

The article analyzes the causes behind the emergence of armed conflicts in the territory of Russia. It reflects recent cases of terrorist attacks in the Russian regions. It explores the political and legal basis behind involving Russia's Armed Forces in the military operations aimed to counteract the terrorist threat.
