Abstract

The problem of searching the way of development of Russia is discussed in the article. Author positions himself as a defender of socialism. The idea of socialism is considered with different viewpoints: past and present ideas of socialism; idea as a value, as an alternative idea for capitalism and as a perspective of development of modern humanity. The author gives a proof of necessity of socialist choice, of acceptance a new socialist as a strategic aim of country's development. Seven main characteristics of «modern actual socialism» are detailed covered.
