Abstract

The article is a reflection on the relevance of the phenomenon of a centaur for the social and philosophical knowledge of reality, an essential quality feature of which is «a combination of incongruous things». At the heart of thinking it is a monograph of Corresponding Member ofRAS Toshchenko «Centaur-problem: the experience of philosophical and sociological analysis», in which an attempt to systematize the methodological basis for the study of the centaur-phenomenon is undertaken.
