Abstract

A key theme of this article is the necessity of organizing complementary statistical and sociological researches that should be methodologically and thematically interconnected. These researches should be aimed at the monitoring of social state development in Russia. There is presented the experience of the activities of the Commission on the Measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress and Eurostat experience in quality of life assessment
