Share taxi at the crossroads of regimes of justification

Abstract

The article concerns social problems of route taxi as a specific post-soviet phenomenon-private public transportation system. The authors stress theoretical potential of share taxi studies for urban sociology. Sociotechnical assemblage of share taxi is a field of multiple contradictions and conflict, of which the problem of justice is articulated. At the end of the article the hypothesis is suggested that conflicts in share taxi system are conditioned by juxtaposition of different regimes of justification.
