OCCUPATIONAL ORIENTATIONS OF STUDENTS IN THE TECHNICAL HIGHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The article has supplied the results of an all-Russia sociological survey of value orientations of the students of engineering higher educational establishments in the sphere of education and in their occupational activities performed in 2007-2008 by the Institute of the Development of Higher Professional Education and the Department of Sociology and Management of the Moscow Highway Engineering Institute (the State Technical University) in eleven leading engineering universities in Moscow and in the RF regions. Material submitted contains an analysis of respondents' opinions about the value of higher education, their preferred work character, the promotability of profession obtained and the work plans in their profession upon graduation from the university.
