Abstract

The article analyzes two approaches to the attempts to draw and introduce the institutes and standards of the Roman Civil Law in the process of modernizing the legal system in contemporary Russia: it distinguishes the adepts of the Roman Civil Law reception in the Russian reality from skeptics.
