Abstract

The article deals with intensified media penetration into the political discourse that became a natural result of the boom in information and communication technologies that exercised substantial on all spheres of the public life. Media's ubiquitous presence in politics not only means a shift of political activity into the sphere of mass media but also increasing dependency life on the degree and manner of its participants and events becoming reflected in mass media. The article analyzes technologies of media employment as a channel of political communication and as an instrument of exercising ideological influence as well as a means of political image-making and preference.
