Frame Analysis as Political Theory

Abstract

The article gives an answer to the question: what makes an event observed here-and-now political? Basing on premises of different versions of frame theory ranging from G. Bateson to Interpretative Political Analysis, the author offers a solution in John Law's ontological relativism style. This solution should become the starting point for dealing with a much more far-reaching goal of reconceptualisation of the Political by means of microsociological theory.
