"Body Soviet" and cyborg body: developing a sociological approach to body

Abstract

This article brings together two research cases in sociological study of body. The first case focuses on forms of leaders images in soviet epoch. The second case seeks to critically examine the role of technology for old woman with disabilities. This article adds theoretical and empirical depth to our understanding of the growth of a sociological approach to body.
